**Job Title**: Childcare Assistant (After School)
**Start Date**: September 2025
**Salary**: £225 per week _(ideal for school staff who finish before 3pm)_

**Job Type**: Permanent, Term Time Only
**Working Hours**: Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-6:00pm
**Location**: Local primary school or community centre
**Holiday Work**: Additional hours may be available during school holidays

**About Us**
The 3 O’clock Club is an exciting new wraparound childcare service from Live It & Get Active, providing fun, safe, and active after school care for children aged 4-11. Launching in September 2025 across two locations, our mission is to support working families while enriching children's afternoons with play, creativity, movement, and wellbeing.

**The Role**
We’re looking for friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Childcare Assistants to join our growing team. You'll help create a warm, engaging, and stimulating environment where children can relax and enjoy themselves after a busy school day. You’ll assist in delivering fun activities, preparing healthy snacks, and ensuring children are cared for in line with our high standards of safety and wellbeing.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities including crafts, games, and physical play
- Possibly collect children from their school setting and bring them to the wrap around club
- Maintain a safe, caring, and supportive environment
- Assist with daily setup, routines, and tidying up after sessions
- Prepare and serve healthy snacks in line with dietary needs
- Communicate with parents, carers, and school staff
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and behaviour policies

**What We’re Looking For**
- Experience working with children in a school, nursery, or youth setting (desirable)
- A warm, positive attitude and passion for childcare
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Understanding of safeguarding and child welfare
- Level 2 or 3 Childcare qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
