**Job Role: Children's Support Worker - 3 sleeping nights a week**
**Location: Warrington WA13**
**Pay: £13-£14**
**Hours: Term time: 3 x 3pm - 9am (sleeping nights) - Flexible nights to suit the support worker**
**School holidays 4 x 10am - 7pm (36hrs per week)**
**Personal Care Involved**
**Full training given**
**Essential Criteria**:
Driver
Experience with children with disabilities preferred
Happy to work within a family house
Confident to use IT - full training given to use an eye gaze communication aid
**Background**:
*Ethan is a happy and contented 12 year old boy who lives at home with his family and cockerpoo dog in a purpose built house with carers accommodation. He is a friendly, welcoming, and well-loved member of the family and at school. *Ethan has physical and learning disabilities, he has a range of health needs and requires support in all aspects of his life
*Ethan loves to be out and about, he has many interests including climbing walls, 3D swings, shopping, and Rugby but most of all he loves to people watch. At home he enjoys reading books and listening to music.
*Ethan has a full therapy team around him at home and in school and the support worker will follow all the care plans set by the therapists. He use’s an eye gaze communication aid, which you will receive full training to use.
Duties include;
- Support within his own home and community
- Personal and hygiene care.
- Develop an encourage the use of the eye gaze communication aid
- Introduce new and existing experiences to Ethan
- Working closely with the family and therapists
- Therapy activities as set out by his therapists
- Sleeping nights
