East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust provide services to the local community to around 500,000 people, with the regional cancer centre supporting around 2 million people. They provide care to the community with an annual budget of around £350 million and more than 5,000 staff.

**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the compliance and risk assurance framework, ensuring robust systems for maintaining and monitoring compliance across the organisation are maintained and provide expert advice on CQC regulation across the Trust.
- Lead the review and implementation of the Risk Management Strategy and risk
- improvement plan to support embedding effective risk management across the Trust.
- Lead on the preparedness for external reviews and central monitoring of compliance against key regulatory notifications, including Deprivation of Liberties, IRMER, R43 (Coroner recommendations), CQC mortality outlier alerts and HSE improvement notices and recommendations from external reviews.
- Support the Associate Director of Governance on-going development of the wider
- governance assurance processes to ensure the Trust meets the current and future
- requirements of the healthcare regulation and embeds a embeds a compliance and risk culture.

**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:

- Excellent communication skills

- Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Previous experience in similar role
- NHS System Knowledge
- Regulation and CQC, Risk management and policy management
