Company Bakery makes exceptional handmade bread and pastries for the best restaurants, cafes, bars, hotels and speciality food retailers in Edinburgh and beyond. We are looking for full time, experienced bakery Team Leaders to join our growing team.

What we do:
We make really good bread, loads of the stuff. We love it. The majority is sourdough, hand shaped and made from Scottish flour from Fife and East Lothian. We mill a portion of the whole grain ourselves fresh on-site daily.

We also make outrageously buttery pastries with specials going out every weekend so there are always plenty of samples hanging around the bakery to snack on.

Most of the bread is sold wholesale to a huge range of fantastic businesses, all of whom value the great quality, flavour and consistency of our loaves. You will find our baguettes in the best wine bars, our pastries in the best cafes, our ciabatta in the best sandwich shops and our sourdough in the best Michelin starred restaurant in the central belt.

Who we are looking for:
Our talented team is growing. We are hiring Team Leaders to help our bakers get bread out to even more amazing venues. Bakers assist in all aspects of sourdough production from milling grain to mixing, shaping and baking the loaves and should feel confident in all stages of this process.

You should:

- Be familiar working with sourdough and confident to hit the ground running in our fast paced bakery
- Have 18 months experience in a commercial bakery or similar (essential)
- Be focussed, quick and able to produce consistent high quality bread
- Be prepared for the physicality of the job
- Be available for full time work, starting immediately
- Love pizza. It is on the lunch menu near daily

Additional responsibilities:

- Support the Head Baker with decision making within the bakery and help implement any new processes
- Work alongside the Head Baker in training new bakers as well as developing the current team members skills
- Run shifts in the Head Bakers absence
- Be the point of contact for all team members in the Head Bakers absence, including the logistics and operations team
