The Role: Build Engineer (FTTP)

Location: London

Package: £45k & £5,000 car allowance / benefits

Overview:
We are looking to recruit a telecoms build engineer for a client side FTTP extension build in London. It's going to focus on the south side of the river, so Greenwich, Croydon, Bexley, Southwark, Havering but will extend in time to cover Greater London.

You'll be in from early stages and this is a great chance to set expectation and then drive the build forward for a well-funded, infrastructure provider / ISP who will build their own duct and use some PIA.

Reporting to the senior operations manager, you'll manage the contract partners and drive operational performance on an FTTP build programme in conjunction and this will extend the full fibre network that will be used to power business customers throughthe wholesale availability model. The company have a good reputation and the work is secure, long term and offers plenty of variety as you'll manage all civils (including re-instatement) cabling and splicing/testing activities plus the production of associatedin build documentation.

This is FTTP and as such, you'll likely be a known figure in the build industry and come with the ability to act decisively, hit the ground running and own all aspect of civils build and delivery within a client and contractor, NRSWA environment. Ideally,you'll have a solid knowledge of PIA and network build knowledge for both overground and underground would be ideal.

The key point is that proven track record in telecoms civils / fibre build, and this is a permanent position working for the client / service provider.

You'll direct and manage all aspects of performance, and be a strong KPI driven manager who can use the data to assess what is working and what is not, performance wise.

You'll need to be on the patch through the working week, so that means commuting range across the build areas.
