**Department Team Leader - Foundation Learning**:

- Job description**We have an exciting opportunity to join our Foundation Learning Department as a Department Team Leader on a permanent, full time (35 hours per week) basis.**The role is based at our Wythenshawe Campus; however, you will be required to work at our other campuses.**

**Who are TMC?**

The Manchester College is the Largest Further Education College in the United Kingdom and has the largest provisions for 16-19yrs olds, adults, and higher education in Greater Manchester. **Role Responsibilities**

- **Lead a multidisciplinary team**, including King’s Trust team leaders and tutors across employment-focused programmes.
- **Oversee the development and delivery of high-quality education** tailored to adult learners and King’s Trust provision 16-25, ensuring safeguarding, welfare, and inclusion remain central to all activity.
- **Oversee subcontracted provision in partnership with GMFRS**, ensuring full compliance with contract requirements and the highest quality standards.
- **Collaborate with external partners and stakeholders** to promote adult engagement and develop community-based learning opportunities alongside maintaining our established partnership provision such as the NHS Sector Based Work Academy and Manchester Cathedral Volition programme.
- Act as the main **IQA** for the Foundation Learning department, maintaining robust internal verification and moderation processes and work with external awarding bodies and their quality processes for accreditation.
- **Deliver and promote high-quality, student-focused teaching and learning**, contributing directly to the learner experience.
- **Line manage and support teams**, improving teaching and learning and managing underperformance in line with HR procedures.
- **Monitor key performance data**, ensuring timely recording, analysis, and reporting, and implement remedial actions when needed.
- **Co-ordinate curriculum development**, ensuring schemes of work demonstrate consistency and innovation, meeting both local and national priorities.

**Skills, Qualifications and Experience**

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

- Recognised teaching qualification.
- Numeracy and literacy skills (to level 2 or equivalent).
- Degree Level Qualification or relevant industrial experience or professional qualification i.e. IQA.
