**Job Title: Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant**

**Role Overview**:
As a Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the learning and development of primary school students, while embracing and celebrating the rich Welsh language and culture. Collaborating closely with teachers, you will create an engaging and inclusive learning environment where every child can flourish academically, socially, and linguistically.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide valuable support to the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and activities, with a particular focus on incorporating the Welsh language and culture.
- Assist in the preparation of bilingual teaching materials and resources, fostering a truly immersive learning experience for students.
- Work closely with individual students or small groups, using your language skills to reinforce learning concepts and promote bilingual proficiency.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that celebrates Welsh identity and heritage, ensuring all students feel valued and empowered.
- Support students with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND), tailoring your approach to meet their individual needs in both English and Welsh contexts.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies that promote bilingualism and cultural awareness.
- Help to maintain a vibrant and stimulating learning environment that reflects the diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds of our students.

**Requirements**:

- Fluency in both English and Welsh, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages across all aspects of the role.
- Minimum of one year of experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a UK primary school setting, with a demonstrated passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- A genuine enthusiasm for Welsh language and culture, coupled with a commitment to promoting bilingualism and celebrating diversity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Knowledge of the primary school curriculum and teaching methods, with the ability to adapt lessons and activities to incorporate Welsh language and cultural elements.
- Patience, creativity, and a flexible approach to meeting the diverse needs of students in a bilingual context.
