**Area Sales Manager - Formwork, Ground Shoring & Propping**

Job Title: Area Sales Manager - Formwork, Ground Shoring & Propping
Industry Sector: Construction, Formwork & Falsework, Shoring, Groundwork, Temporary Works Trenching, Pilling, Heavy Duty Propping, Civil Engineering, Specialist Formwork & Falsework Sub-Contractors and Main Contractors

Area to be covered: Midlands (SY, DY, TF, WR, HR, WY, WS, B, CV, LE DE, NG, NN & LN)

Remuneration: £40,000-£45,000 + up to £10,000 Bonus

Benefits: Hybrid Car (or car allowance £500 per month) + full benefits package
The role of the Formwork, Ground Shoring & Propping Area Sales Manager will involve:

- Field sales position, selling predominantly the sale (but also some hire) of formwork and falsework, heavy duty propping and ground shoring equipment
- Selling to main contractors and specialist formwork and falsework, groundwork and heavy duty propping sub contractors
- Responsible for an area with a multi-million pound turnover, currently performing ahead of budget expectation
- 60% new business development, 40% account managing multi-million pound project bank
- Working on projects in excess of £1m+
- Inheriting a turnover of approx. £600,000 hire sales revenue and £125,000 of sales revenue
- Large proportion of time will be spent on construction sites
- Utilising a team of qualified engineers for technical support

The ideal applicant will be a Formwork, Ground Shoring & Propping Area Sales Manager with:

- Construction field sales background
- Open to formwork and falsework, groundworks, temporary works, shoring, trenching, piling, propping and other civil engineering based field sales backgrounds
- Open to an engineering background or someone on the tools with an aptitude for field sales
- Construction site experience/ technical ability
- Contacts within specialist formwork and falsework, groundwork and heavy duty propping sub contractors is desirable
- Excellent relationship management skills but capable of new business development as well
- Energetic, drive, passion and enthusiastic
- Mix of construction and engineering background preferred
