We are looking for a suitably qualified and enthusiastic Environmental Health Officers/Environmental Health graduate or Technical Officer to join our busy and friendly Food, Health and Housing Team.

The generic job description outlines the broad range of duties that the successful applicant will need to respond to according to the needs of the service and customers.

We offer flexible working hours, contribution to the Local Government pension scheme and support and training within a friendly working environment. A full driving licence and use of a car is required for this post.

This post is defined as “career-graded”. This means that entry into the pay scale, and progression through it will be related to qualification and work experience as follows:

- Possession of a degree or diploma in Environmental Health OR with full relevant work experience will mean appointment at or progression to pay Band 8.
- Full membership of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and registration by The Environmental Health Registration Board (EHRB)/CIEH Register or Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner Status will allow appointment at or progression to pay Band 9.
