**About The Role**:
LiveWell Dorset is a unique health improvement service which applies the latest behavioural science and technology to help individuals take control of their own health and wellbeing. The service supports individuals to become more active, drink less, stop smoking and maintain a healthy weight and we aim to promote the early identification of cardiovascular disease and the other associated conditions.

Cardiovascular diseases are amongst the preventable forms of non-communicable diseases, of which England faces an epidemic that includes heart disease, cancer, diabetes and dementia. Supporting people to recognise they are at risk and make changes is at the heart of what we do.

We are looking for casual workers that we can call upon to help us deliver NHS health checks and behaviour change interventions in one to one settings across Dorset and BCP.

- LiveWell Dorset is a key part of the Public Health Dorset aim to improve the health of local people. The service has attracted national attention as a novel and innovative approach to helping people change their behaviours and live healthier lives.
- Public Health Dorset aims to improve and protect the health and wellbeing of the population across Dorset with an emphasis on reducing health inequalities. We carry out public health responsibilities as a shared service for Dorset Council and Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council.- LiveWell Dorset has a reputation as forward thinking service that practices what it preaches in regards to health and wellbeing.
