**Job Purpose**

The primary purpose of the role is to allow greater flexibility in focused improvement areas like quality improvements, employee relations improvements or process reliability improvements. The role will work to lead all CI activity and challenge the Senior Team to adopt this as a mindset. Driving all levels of management to develop thinking to not just fix short term issues but to work on long term improvements across functions and departments. The CI Lead will also drive the Senior Team to work collaboratively on issues and share knowledge and best practise across this team. The role will not only drive current progress and measure/review KPI’s across these but more so work to lead others to identify areas of efficiency - to strive to work to the Sofina Guiding Principles.

**Skills and Experience Required**

**Key Accountabilities**

You will oversee optimising our manufacturing process’ while looking at Lean, Yield and Reliability performance throughout our 23 sites.
- Typical work involves:

- Review site line capacity models and identify bottlenecks
- Look at process optimisation and line throughputs
- Develop roadmaps for Best Available Technology at each site.
- Develop labour reduction models through automation.
- Introduction lean techniques into the engineering discipline.
- Implement root cause analysis training into the engineering function
- Develop centreline metrics for each process line
- Conduct labour vs automation opportunities for each site.
- Models asset life cycles for key strategic equipment and present data to HOE

**Key Challenges**

**About you**

You will have a minimum HND in a suitable qualification while having experience within an FMCG environment, doing a similar role or exposure to CI / process in your current position. You will be an experienced people manager and have the ability to motive and influence a team.
- You must have a thorough knowledge of all the Lean Manufacturing tools and a keen understanding of manufacturing processes and the ability to learn quickly would be an asset.
- We need a self-starter and the ability to excel with mínimal supervision while possessing very strong analytical skills.
