Hotel Receptionist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Hotel Receptionist to join the Petwood Hotel on either a part time or full-time basis. The hotel has 53 bedrooms and is proud to have an award-winning restaurant, bar and alfresco dining in its Grade II listed gardens. In addition, the hotel runs a vibrant weddings, conference and events operation.

We are looking for a Hotel Receptionist to join the Reception team in a fast paced and dynamic role working on a varied shift pattern.

A full-time contract would typically be:

- A 5 day over 7 day shift pattern
- Include Weekends/All Bank Holidays/Christmas and New Year
- 1 weekend off per 4-week rota

As a Hotel Receptionist you will support the General Manager, Business Development Manager and Reception Manager in:

- Checking guests in and out of the Hotel
- Welcoming visitors to the Hotel
- Directing guests to all areas of the hotel
- On shift banking procedures
- Daily cash banking procedures
- Completing reservation admin - making, amending and cancelling reservations
- Up-selling where possible to maximise room occupancy and use of hotel services/facilities
- Closely liaising with all hotel departments
- Knowledge of the hotel and surrounding area that can be offered to guests as and when required
- The confidence and initiative to work alone on shift
- Organisational skills
- A clean and tidy appearance
- A courteous and welcoming demeanour
- Good timekeeping skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience of providing excellent customer service within a hospitality setting is desirable
- Experience with Rezlynx is also highly desirable
