To assist with the smooth and efficient operation of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring all guests’ facilities are maintained to the standards required and the departmental budgeted profitability is achieved.

Main Responsibilities
- To facilitate control of all linen stocks and levels, ensuring linen costs are controlled in accordance with hotel procedures.
- To ensure efficient stores procedures, ensuring cleaning materials and guest supplies are adequate, stores are used effectively, thereby ensuring budgeted costs are managed.
- To directly supervise and co-ordinate the activities of the Housekeeping staff thus ensuring high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout.
- To suggest ways of further enhancing the above standards.
- To ensure routine maintenance is carried out in your area of responsibility, reporting any damage, wear and tear, ensuring bedroom faults are reported and rectified promptly
- To organize and set up on-going deep clean schedules.
- To assist management in creating a team environment which promotes good employee morale and pride in the department and the hotel.
- To lead and motivate staff in order to encourage and obtain maximum commitment.
- To communicate with all team members (this to include departmental and other personnel) by holding regular briefing sessions and attending hotel meetings when required.
- To supervise the allocation, servicing and checking of hotel bedrooms and public areas.
- To implement effective key control system in the department, thus ensuring the security of all Housekeeping areas.
- To be fully aware and strictly adhere to hotel security procedures.
- To deal with complaints relating to Housekeeping, where necessary.
- To service rooms and carry out routine and periodic cleaning in allocated areas, as directed by superiors.
- To practice the correct use and care of equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, trolleys, etc. and to report any malfunctions of such equipment immediately.
- To ensure the correct use of cleaning agents on all surfaces as directed.
- To report any damage, wear and tear arising within your workplace.

**Salary**: From £11.50 per hour
