We’re looking for a reliable Maintenance Person to help us fix, mend and sort out a variety of things at our lovely Care Home.

We need someone practical and capable who can sort out a variety of issues and someone friendly (they will need to work in our resident’s rooms from time to time). Ideally we would like someone who has worked in a care home before, but that’s not essential.

Hours
3 days a week 10-4

**Requirements**:
Essential:
We need someone with good, all-round handyman skills. We need someone practical and capable who can sort out a variety of issues
Must be friendly (they will need to work in our resident’s rooms from time to time and will see our residents every day when working).
Must be reliable, as well as being contactable and available for occasional out of hours issues.
Desirable:
Ideally, we would like someone who has worked in a care home before, but that’s not essential.
A willingness to work some additional hours at other sites in Dorchester and Weymouth would be desirable.

This is a new position so we’re happy to discuss it with you and find the right balance of working hours and responsibilities.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 18 per week

**Salary**: £10.60 per hour

As a care home, proper hygiene is fundamental and essential. All staff must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, wear appropriate PPE, practice safe working practices and carry out regular lateral flow tests.
