An exciting opportunity has arisen within the urological cancers administration team at Charing Cross Hospital’s urology department. The successful post holder will be primarily responsible for co-ordinating the bladder and renal cancer confirmed diagnosis clinics and thus will be required to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team alongside consultants, registrars, nurses, other pathway co-ordinators within the urological cancers administration team and operational managers.
The post holder will work closely with the relevant team members to ensure that patient pathways are co-ordinated effectively, that tertiary referrals for the bladder and renal service are booked into the appropriate clinics and that a high quality customer service is provided.
- Co-ordinating the rapid access haematuria clinics, ensuring that clinics are booked appropriately and that patients receive relevant information prior to their appointment
- Monitoring urothelial and renal cancer Patient Tracking Lists and liaising with the bladder and renal cancer MDT Co-ordinators and other key stakeholders to ensure patients are seen in line with clinical urgency and Cancer Waiting Time Standards
- Liaising with General Practice and other NHS Trusts to ensure that the relevent information is available to to the clinical team to ensure continuity of care for patients
- Providing administrative support to the wider multidisciplinary team, including medical, nursing and administrative colleagues
- Attending weekly Post MDT Wash-Up meetings, in the absence of the Pathway Co-ordinator for Bladder and Renal Cancer Outpatient Clinics, and completing actions regarding the care of patients on their cancer treatment pathway
