Horizon Teachers are working with a Harrow based school seeking to appoint a cover supervisors who are keen to learn the inner workings of a school before undertaking a PGCE course. This role is due to start immediately and there is some flexibility for part time work but I am looking for someone that can work a minimum of 4 days out of 5 on a long term basis. This outstanding school offer a myriad of CPD opportunities and ideally, they are looking to employ people with a passion for education and long-term ambitions of becoming a teacher. - You must have at least a degree level education to be considered for this role._ **What does this job entail?**: - To supervise whole classes during short-term absence of teachers and work that has been set in accordance with the school policy - To manage/supervise lunchtime and after school activities for students - To manage the behaviour of students whilst they are undertaking this work to ensure a constructive environment - To carry out work, care and/or support programmes including the schools literacy programmes for students, under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff. - To enable access to learning for students and assist the teacher in the management of students and the classroom. - To contribute to the overall ethos, work and aims of the school. - Recording and reporting attendance at lessons and extra curriculum lessons in accordance with school policy. - Monday to Friday - 8:30 - 4pm, 5pm finish on Tuesday.
