Are you a Psychology graduate with learning disability, autism or acquired brain injury experience looking for a new challenge?
We are looking for an Assistant Psychologist on a full-time basis to join our team of practitioners working in the Forensic Intellectual and Neuro-developmental Disabilities Service (FINDS). FINDS has been developed to ensure that care is provided as close to home as possible and in the least restrictive environment for patients with a diagnosis of learning disability and/or autism and/or an acquired brain injury and who also have a forensic need.
Our Service focuses on the secure pathway and offering upskilling to community services to support the complex needs of this client group. In this role you'll contribute towards risk reduction, risk management and improving the quality of life, mental health and well-being of service users.
You will be working with a small team of psychology, psychiatry, nursing and admin staff to develop and provide a highly specialist service across the Thames Valley and Wessex areas.
If you have an upper second or higher Psychology degree and experience working in Forensics, Learning Disabilities, Autism or ABI pathways then we'd love to hear from you
Consultation to professionals working with people with learning disabilities and/or autism and/or brain injury across community, inpatient and secure setting
Co-facilitating training to staff on learning disabilities, autism, brain injury and/or forensic issues
Maintaining database of referrals
Support with audit and service evaluation
Facilitating team formulations
Contributing to specialist risk assessments
Developing easy read/accessible resources
