**Job overview**:
**Main duties of the job**:
You will support and assist with the work of the Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in providing assessment, planning and delivering treatment programmes to patients with multiple needs.

You will also take responsibility for basic administration tasks to ensure the department and team’s needs are met.

You should have evidence of a good standard of education including GSCE’s or equivalent in English and Math's with a NVQ Level 3 qualification, or equivalent, and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the role of a Therapy Assistant.

You will have good communication skills, the ability to use your own initiative, good time management skills and the ability to problem solve.

- Evidence of a good general education ie a minimum of 2 GCSE’s or equivalent in English and Maths
- NVQ Lvl 3 or equivalent

**Experience, Knowledge & Skills**:
**Essential criteria**:

- Experience of working in a team
- Evidence of previous experience of working in the NHS and/or a care setting
- Evidence of having worked with the public
- Evidence of effective verbal and written communication skills
- Evidence of being able to work independently and use initiative
- Understanding of a therapy role

**Desirable criteria**:

- Admin/Computer/IT Skills
- Evidence of ability to deal with conflict
