A bit about the role
We are looking for an exceptional Packaging designer, to lead and develop Selfridges Selection Life style and Celebration creative. Based in our London office and reporting into the Selfridges Selection Senior Design Manager, within the wider Selfridges Multimedia creative team.

The Packaging designer will support the design team to concept and deliver innovative and cutting-edge Selfridges Selection packaging creative. We are looking for a highly talented individual, tuned into the latest creative within packaging.

You will support the Senior design manager in defining, developing, and executing the Selfridges Selection Lifestyle and Celebration Brand. Working collaboratively across teams you will develop and create a bench-mark setting brand. You’ll have proven experience, preferably in the food and lifestyle sector, and significant exposure to branding, packaging and print collateral. You will be a conceptual designer with a great eye for typography and a thorough understanding of Adobe CC Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. Experience in 2D rendering is a must and 3D rendering is a plus. You should also be a confident illustrator who can sketch ideas and translate sketches into packaging design. You will be able to interpret briefs, be extremely organised and manage your own projects from conception through to completion.

**Responsibilities**:

- Continue to build Selfridges creative reputation through innovative, highly creative graphic design.
- Ensure consistency of creative/brand message across SS packaging
- Work with and present to internal clients to develop a creative response to the given brief within budget and time frames agreed with the Packaging production manager and Senior Design manager.
- Present work at both internal and external stakeholder meetings.
- Attend ‘own label’ steering meetings ensuring that you share your work and development with the wider team and managers
- Work with the Production manager to develop relationships with external suppliers to understand the print production process and how these processes affect the creative proposal.
- Manage your own time, prioritising workload to meet project deadlines as outlined in the initial brief.
- Continually review ways to improve communication and efficiencies across all areas of the design process.
- Work with Senior design manager and external consultancies to achieve effective implementation of external creative solutions across store environment / platforms when applicable.
- Develop brand guidelines and templates to make the studio more efficient

A bit about you
- You will be supporting the Senior design manager
