The Strategic Accounts Lead position I have available is with a market-leading renewable fuel supplier working to help UK businesses reduce their carbon emissions and help these corporations transporting goods to achieve Net-Zero. These Fuel types includeBio-LNG and Bio-CNG, these are expected to play a crucial role in the decarbonisation of the heavy-freight industry.
This role will report to the Head of Growth & Supply. This is a small, tight-knit business and values a positive, collaborative and supportive working environment. Staff are given autonomy in an energetic business, and your development will benefit fromthe mentorship of the leadership team and others. The business has grown in staff by nearly 50% in the last year, and as the business grows further over the following years, it is expected there will be ample scope for progression beyond this role.
**Your primary responsibilities will be as follows**:
- Working alongside the Key Accounts Director to build and maintain relationships with key existing and future customers
- Working with the Projects Team to ensure alignment on biomethane refuelling station project timings and developments between the company, the customers, and any local authorities where applicable.
- Keeping an up-to-date database/model of existing and potential customers and their HGV fleet sizes
- Responsible for working with the Head of Growth & Supply and the company Finance Team to ensure the latest business forecasts accurately reflect our understanding of the market
- Supporting the Head of Growth & Supply with LNG pricing data and recommendations
- Management of key processes with strategic partners, in particular bp
- Management of key non-customer external relationships including:
? LNG Suppliers
? Liquid Nitrogen Suppliers
? LNG Terminal Operators
? LNG Hauliers
? Department for Transport
**Required Experience**:
- Experience in customer-facing and/or business development roles, preferably in the areas of clean energy, electricity, or fuels
- Experience in working in or alongside technical teams who are focused on project delivery
- Experience in managing external relationships, e.g. service and equipment providers
**Desirable Experience**:
- Biomethane procurement or involvement with biomethane related industries
- Knowledge of LNG for road transport and/or experience of fuel retail operations, especially HGVs
**Required Capabilities**:
- Strong team working ethos
- Self-starting approach, flexible to the needs of the business
- Good understanding and awareness of business risks and their mitigations
- Geographical flexibility and able to function safely and effectively in a rapid growth environment
- Demonstrable ability to build strong relationships
- Good writing and communication skills
- Demonstrable experience in problem-solving and providing/implementing creative solutions to complex problems
- Willingness to adapt to new challenges and learn new skills
