Serco are currently recruiting for a HR Officer to join our existing team at NorthLink Ferries Aberdeen. The purpose of the role is to support the implementation and delivery of HR services to the Serco NorthLink service complying with legislative, regulatory and industry requirements.

**Main Accountabilities**
- To ensure that the vessels are safely manned with suitably qualified, medically fit, experienced seafarers in accordance with International and National requirements.
- Produce training plan to cover all regulatory and non-regulatory training requirements for shore staff and crew working on vessels as per requirement of the ISM Code.
- Working within set budgets ensure that training requirements and staffing levels are adhered to.
- Delivery of HR and Training processes and practices effectively and efficiently ensuring that professional standards are maintained.
- To support the HR Manager with preparation of monthly reports
- Support the Management team on HR issues including recruitment, selection, termination, performance management, discipline, and grievance to ensure the effective use of people resources and that risks to the company are controlled.
- Provide HR support in the delivery of change projects which deliver the strategic aims of the company and support the delivery of HR strategy, policies, procedures, and initiatives within the business.
- Ensure all HR administrative processes and practices are carried out effectively and efficiently
- Support the preparation and processing on monthly payroll

**What I need to do the role?**
- Previous experience of working in a similar role preferably from within shipping/offshore industry
