**About us**
Established in 1881, The Royal Belfast Golf Club is a private members’ club located in Craigavad, Co. Down, just outside Holywood. We are the oldest golf club in Ireland and have won numerous Parkland Golf Course of the Year accreditations.
Our beautiful Victorian clubhouse is one of the grandest in the country with three bar areas and a mix of formal and casual dining rooms. We are extremely fortunate to have a team of long-standing staff members who consistently provide high levels of customer service to members and visitors in a happy, warm, and friendly environment.
Our clientele ranges from members and their guests, overseas visitors, golf societies and corporate golf days to business meetings, private parties, weddings and high-profile individuals. No two days are ever the same.

**The Role**:
The appointee will work within the Club’s kitchen areas under the direction of the Sous Chef and/or Head Chef. Due to seasonal variations, there will be occasions when you will be required to undertake other duties and any other general or specific housekeeping duties which may be required.
This a part-time position, 20 hours a week. The role offers a flexible and rotational working schedule which will include some shifts on nights, weekends, and Bank Holidays.
**Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Create and execute strong relations with Members & staff.
- Ensure that the kitchen facilities are clean and in good working order and that all back of house areas are tidy.
- Integration of kitchen & front of House staff relationships.
- Sign for any food deliveries and check the delivery note matches the items delivered, then place in the relevant store area / chiller / freezer, ensuring correct stock rotation is adhered to.
- Ensure all storerooms are kept clean, tidy and ordered.
- Ensure proper interaction with the kitchen team with daily tasks to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Accepts flexible work schedules, covering weekdays and weekend as necessary for uninterrupted service to members, guests, and visitors.
- To wear the approved uniform as supplied by the Club in accordance with the set-out guidelines and policy.
- Follow the cleaning checklist as laid out by the Head Chef / EHO.
- Assist the Chef’s with food preparation when required, before, during or after service.
**Human Resources Expectations**:
- Attend suitable training and provide a first-class customer service.
- Be open to specific skills training to provide consistent, knowledgeable, and reliable service.
- Comply with all the Standard Kitchen Operating Procedures.
**Employee Relations**:
- Foster and develops effective employee relations between the Bar and catering, as well as with other departments within the club.
- Be involved in open internal communications as and when required, to ensure optimum teamwork and productivity.
**Health & Safety**:
- Ensures that all potential and real hazards are reported immediately to relevant Line Manager.
- Ensures that emergency procedures are practised to provide for the security and safety of members, guests, visitors, and employees.
- Work in a safe manner that does not harm or injure self or others.
- Through your Line Manager have a general awareness of health & safety.
- Provide the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, appearance, body language and conduct.
- To understand and have a working knowledge of all current Health and Safety, Food safety legislation and be conversant with the rules contained within.
- Trained to Basic Food Hygiene level.
**Miscellaneous**:
- Be actively involved in cleaning schedules to keep the kitchen and surrounding areas to the highest standard.

**The Package**:
