**About the role**

***

**In your role as Data Migration Specialist you will make a meaningful and valued contribution from the outset. This role will provide a great opportunity to support the Data Manager (as part of the Platform Programme Data Migration workstream) in the design and execution of the data migration**:
***
- **Perform analysis to identify solutions to potential data issues, working with stakeholders to arrange execution of remediation****:

- **Work with the current platform supplier to provide internal stakeholders with assurance of the completeness of control totals and data tasks required as part of platform change****:

- **Work with the platform supplier to understand data mapping processes and structures, provide assurance of completeness, accuracy, and assist in the execution governance****:

- **To assist internal stakeholder to validate the end-to-end data mapping between the legacy and new platform to ensure data integrity is maintained****:

- **Act as the main point of contact between USS and the new platform supplier for all data migration related activities***

**What you will be doing**

**As a trusted part of the Group Transformation you will be responsible for**:
***
- **Form close working relationships with USS internal stakeholders to ascertain data migration approach and requirements****:

- **Monitor and audit data quality though the lifecycle of the project****:

- **Work with USS IT and the new supplier to ensure that the transfer of data is performed, validated and appropriate controls and assurance are in place****:

- **Develop assurance reporting framework (processes, reporting, documentary evidence of complete data extraction from the legacy and completed migration to the target system)***

**To be successful in the role you will have**:

- **Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure, deliver to hard deadlines and manage conflicting priorities****:

- **Analysis Skills - Experience across a range of analytics techniques such as data/text mining, forecasting, predictive analytics, descriptive analytics, segmentation/clustering****:

- **Previous experience of data migrations between pensions administration platforms**
