**Job Specification / Teaching Assistant Summary**
We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Unqualified Teaching Assistant with experience with ADHD and complex behaviours to work on a one-to-one basis with a young boy in our Special Educational Needs School in Stockport. You will be responsible for supporting the student with his learning and development needs, ensuring he has a positive and supportive experience at school.
**Responsibilities**:
Work on a one-to-one basis with the young boy, supporting his academic and personal development.
Help with lesson planning and preparation, ensuring the student is able to participate and engage in class activities.
Monitor and record progress, working closely with the SENCO and other professionals to ensure the student's needs are being met.
Manage challenging behaviour and de-escalate any potential situations.
Encourage positive behaviour and support the student in building positive relationships with peers and teachers.
Provide a nurturing and supportive environment that promotes inclusion and diversity.
**Requirements**:
Previous experience working with children with ADHD and complex behaviours is essential
A compassionate and patient personality, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good organisational and time-management skills
Willingness to learn and be flexible, adapting to the changing needs of the student.
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A passion for making a positive impact in the lives of children with special educational needs.
Experience of working in a school environment is desirable, but not essential.
