**Programme Lead - Public Health**:
**Health Protection specialist?**

**An exciting opportunity to join our Public Health team to lead on Health Protection in Tower Hamlets.**

The portfolio of the role will include: communicable diseases advice and assurance, working with UKHSA and with local commissioners and providers of health and care, and communities on diseases that are prevalent in our local population; environmental hazards; public health input to emergency planning including outbreak/pandemic planning and extremes of weather; assurance and promotion of the cancer and non-cancer population screening and immunisation programmes.

The post holder reports to the Associate Director of Public Health and manages a programme group within the Public Health team.

The key areas of responsibility for this post include the following:

- Insight and intelligence
- Strategic leadership
- Evaluation, innovation and research
- Partnership engagement
- Developing public health skills and leadership
- Management of budgets and resources
- Commissioning and service delivery
