**Material Master Data Steward**

**Location: Worthing, UK**

**Job Type**:Contract - 6 - 9 months (Initially with a possible extension)**

**THE ROLE**:
As a Master Data Steward, you will play a key role in creating, maintaining, and governing material master data. You will maintain material master data records on a global basis.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Coordinates the management of material master data creation.
- Is interfacing between development teams, the plant, coordinating the collation and creation of the necessary master data (Parts, BOM, costing and Price
- Supports the creation of master data in the ERP-SAP and Product Lifecycle Management system PLM
- Ensure precise tracking of Master Data evolution and keep traceability of Engineering Changes notes
- Ensure that master data rules and standards are applied, and escalade as needed
- Check data inconsistencies and inform any errors to data providers and proactively follow up to ensure resolution is achieved in a timely manner.
- Support the creation of rules for the call off’s consistency check (screening of the OEM’s call off, to ensure that the sum of the modules are consistent with a full assembled product)
- Support continuous improvement through enhanced quality of master data and performance improvement initiatives on a regular basis

**SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a computer-based (e.g. Computer Science, Information Systems) or business administration discipline is preferred.
- Knowledge of master data management concepts and approaches
- Knowledge on PLM systems & Engineering Change order systems in SAP SD/ MM and/or SAP S4HANA
- Familiar with variant configuration
- Operational Experience with Data migration and Data migration tools (eg. Winshuttle)
- Excellent problem solving, analytical, creative, and communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Able to work in a cross-functional and international team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with excellent follow-through
