An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual to join the thriving Building Management team as a Logistics Officer.
Your role will play a key part in supporting the logistics office in ensuring a smooth running of the operational delivery function to support the effective delivery of services to the wider council.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate being articulate and organised with the proven ability to work under pressure and deliver results. You must be flexible, energetic and have excellent written and verbal communicational skills and be able to maintain relationships with account stakeholders as well as key client representatives. You will be given the opportunity to focus on achieving goals, instigating change, demonstrating drive and ambition and creating/developing business relationships and processes.
The key duties of the role include:
- Assist in running the Logistics office this will include answering customer queries both verbally and electronically, handling correspondence, liaising with service suppliers and contractors including internal/external customers.
- Ensuring all documents are scanned, batched, inputted and allocated to in-trays in compliance with the sections SLA’s.
- Use the system reporting functions to ensure all documents are properly indexed and allocated for action and making certain the timely processing of incoming and outgoing post.
- To assist Corporate Buildings Manager with administering the corporate document archiving policy and to encourage its use, as well as providing advice to others.
- To physically check and move consignments of archiving before transfer for storage or when documents have been recalled.
- Operate logistics equipment ensuring checks are conducted daily and that equipment is maintained whilst recording and reporting faults and liaising with maintenance contractors.
