Senior Service Charge Officer
Are you looking for a role that you can really get your teeth into? If it’s a yes, keep reading
As the Senior Service Charge Officer you will be working with the team to maximise the recovery of service charges, ensuring along the way that we’re working within the legal framework.
Your days will be varied and will include, effectively leading a small team who will all be working on service charge recovery, making sure that all data held is up to date and correct, picking up customer complaints and seeing them through to a conclusion and maintaining close relationships with the wider business.
You will also be responsible for being a first point of contact for customers, establishing service charges for new developments and providing responses to the legal enquiries we receive. So you’re pretty certain that no two days will be the same.
**About you**
You won’t be afraid of a busy day or a difficult conversation, as these do come with the role, however you will feel rewarded by great outcomes and having really great working relationships.
Your communication skills will be one of your key strengths, as you’ll draw on these both as a leader and as having a customer facing role.
You will already have a good awareness of service charges, what they are, why we have them and the importance of recovery for the business. You’ll feel driven to maximise recovery, whilst maintaining empathy with a quality customer service.
You will have the opportunity to work from home or the office, however part of the role is a requirement to attend meetings, some in the office and some in our communities, so holding a full clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work will be a requirement.
**What’s in it for me**
We invest in our colleagues because we know if they have a better day at work, the service our customers receive will be better. The Aster Offer is our offer to our colleagues to ensure they have a great day at work and includes things like:
- Flexible working - whilst some roles need to be carried out in a specific place at a specific time, where possible we encourage our colleagues to work to their own schedule at a location that suits them, their team and our business’ needs
- A focus on colleague wellbeing - workshops, an employee assistance programme offering counselling and support, mental health training and a health cash plan
- We invest in colleagues’ careers and development through our leader and colleague development frameworks
- Defined Contribution Pension and attached life assurance
- Volunteering hours available to all colleagues to enable them to give back
- Savings at cinemas, gyms, holidays, days out, various shops and eateries and lots more
- Enhanced leave
- We celebrate colleagues who go above and beyond with a range of personalised recognition initiatives, and monthly and annual awards.
**Ready to apply?**
To apply, please use information provided in the advert and role profile to let us know why you’d be good for the job. Please submit a copy of your up-to-date CV along with a supporting statement.
We create an inclusive workplace that promotes and values diversity and believe that creating an environment where everyone, from any background, can do their best work is the right thing to do.
