**About The Role**:
Team Leader Adult Learning Disabilities - Respite service

Silver Birch is a residential service providing specialist respite care for people with learning and physical disabilities in Burton upon Trent

As a team leader you will provide leadership to the care staff within the service, provide care in accordance with best practices and polices/procedures under the direction of the manager, be responsible for promoting and protecting the welfare of individuals supported by the service as well as completing assessments of service users.

This role requires flexibility to cover a range of shift patterns to meet service requirements.

**About You**:

- Good English - written and verbal
- Minimum of a Level 2 Vocational qualification and working towards a level 3 Health and Social Care
- Experienced in organising and planning supervisions/appraisals for staff
- Be confident to build rapport with service users, establish personal connections and showing interest in their lives
- Previous experience of working in a similar environment
- Previous experience of working with service users, in particular, those that may have additional support needs
- Be able to adapt to, and address situations quickly.
- Plan, develop, implement and assess approaches to promote health and wellbeing
- Recognising and reporting situations where there might be a need for protection
