**Salary**: £42,756 - £53,436 depending on experience

**Job Purpose**:
This position is responsible for the overall capability of the facility by improving the performance of its employees through leading the facility organizational development, leadership development, people development and talent management. This position is also responsible to develop and implement change management and project management plan for the implementation of all facility HR projects.

**Job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to**:

- Responsible for developing and implementing organisational effectiveness, engagement, leadership development and talent management strategies at the facility
- Position should identify and help develop plans that allow strategic, tactical, and practical integration
- Responsible for career development efforts throughout the facility and lead deployment of the career development process
- Partner with Division OT&D team and deploy Division(s) learning initiatives
- Deploy leadership development offerings
- Responsible and accountable for early talent including the facility apprenticeship programme, partnering with business leaders to deploy the right talent, and sourcing the right learning providers to provide the apprenticeship program
- Manage the apprentice levy to ensure it is utilised to its full maximum to develop talent
- Responsible and accountable for STEM ambassador programs and deploying this initiative to achieve maximum impact to future talent pipeline
- Manage projects within the HR team - the planning, deployment and governance at a facility level using project management skills and tools

- The position's primary customers are internal
- Typical internal customers include leadership (including General Manager and Department Heads)
- Supervisory - 1 Learning associate direct report
- The position is challenged to carefully evaluate problems and review a large number of possible solutions before selecting one option
- Problems may be complex and can require the incumbent to develop solutions
- The incumbent sets priorities and establishes a work plan in order to complete broadly defined assignments and achieve organizational and leadership objectives
- Moderate travel required (Less than 15% of working time)

**Background and experience**:

- The position requires a college or university degree or equivalent experience
- Chartered CIPD membership or equivalent CIPD qualification
- The position requires knowledge of various Caterpillar personnel and/or benefits policies and programs
- Familiarity with Caterpillar functional areas, policies and procedures is required
- Extensive years of progressively responsible job-related experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive
- Experience of DMAIC and/or Lean methodology
