Join us as an IG Corporate Strategist, Credit Trading
- We're looking for someone to work on the investment grade (IG) corporate credit trading desk alongside the traders, while targeting a sustainable risk profile
- Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for the credit analysis of IG corporate borrowers traded by the desk to generate trade ideas and CCI for clients
- If you're interested in assisting traders to manage their risks and generate useful colour for the credit vertical, you'll find a real sense of purpose in this role

**What you'll do**
Your daily responsibilities will include you carrying out trading activities on authorised NatWest Markets (NWM) products, according to the strategy and risk appetite of NWM. You'll also understand the risk run by the desk while managing your own risk positionswithin authorised business limits.
Not only will you conduct desk credit analysis of IG corporate borrowers, covering EUR and GBP senior bonds and corporate hybrid bonds, but you'll undertake credit analysis of borrowers traded by the desk, and the technical analysis of the market.
In addition, you'll be responsible for:

- Generating CCI for clients, including trade ideas, and working closely with the traders to help manage their risk, while providing colour on individual credits to the credit vertical
- Executing hedging strategies to make sure risk limits are not breached and making sure financial objectives, including revenue and costs, are defined in your performance objectives
- Trading activities, that include the consistent pricing of the desk's product range, in line with NWM policy and daily risk management of the desk's books
- Using appropriate hedging instruments, while booking and recording the desk's transactions and daily review of activities and reconciliation of its P&L and risk
- Taking reasonable steps to make sure trading activities are in line with our policies and contributing towards the overall product area trading strategy and trading ideas

**The skills you'll need**
To be successful in this role, you'll have a background in a desk analyst role that is focused on IG corporate borrowers.
You'll also need:

- A deep understanding of corporate financial statements and performance drivers
- Knowledge of capital structures, particularly hybrid structures and call dynamics
- A good reputation with clients relevant in the space
