In the Pricing Strategy team, we support and guide the O perating Units and develop competitive compliant offers, ensuring all offers and prices are in line with the Operating Units pricing strategy. We are a dynamic and diverse team with a high level of responsibility with many different work tasks - not one day is the same, and we work both strategic and operational. Each contract we manage is unique; we work across operational units, with various requirements and many stakeholders both inside and outside the company. **A Day in the Life**

We develop winning pricing strategies in order to capture market share and maximize profit. The country pricing strategist is an experienced pricing & business professional who will support and work collaboratively with the Operating Unit leaders/Strategic account leaders, marketing teams, European Strategic Pricing team & the extended pricing and contracts team. The jobholder is expected to fully integrate in the Operating Unit leadership team, and understand Operating Unit targets and business challenges above and beyond pricing. By defining and executing the Operating Unit country pricing strategy and by providing pricing guidance and modelling for existing and new products, develop innovative pricing schemes and tools, support the sales organization in pre-, in-, post tender work, contract design and negotiation. Aligning with the Western Europe operating units and pricing strategy and provide solid business cases if and when localization of a strategy is required. Leading and presenting pricing analysis at leadership team business reviews. The country pricing strategist will also be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining pricing processes, delegation of authority, to assure pricing discipline and integrity.

**Main Duties / Responsibilities: Included but may not be limited to:
Be recognized as the pricing champion and trusted partner in the organization (OU Leaders, Marketing, Overlays, Operations)

Using local market knowledge (procurement, clinical and payer) and insightful analytics to translate and implement the pricing strategy at country level and provide clear guidance to the organization on targets price, price thresholds and floor price to ensure alignment with Western Europe colleagues. Implement strategy in Vendavo Pricing Management tool (TAPS) with operational support of the Pricing Excellence teams.

Propose and built-in partnerships with OU leaders’ business cases to support, if needed, changes/modifications to the European pricing strategy based on local market dynamics and competitive environment.

Upon launch of new products, analyse contract coverage together with the specialist and align with the OU on launch strategy. Always ensuring strong communications with extended team for smooth execution of strategy.

Review and optimize offers (revenue & margin impact) and provide OU leaders / Overlay leaders with clear pricing and contracting recommendations. Assure that the agreed pricing strategies are reflected in the offers. Support the business in building business cases for escalations to strategic pricing and legal if required.

Support the OU leaders/Overlays in contract negotiations and portfolio offerings.

Assess Tender design and work with the OUs to impact and guide future tenders in the pre-tender phase. Work on the strategy in-tender to ensure pricing harmonization and evaluate financial impact and future tender strategy in the post-tender phase.

Develop/implement product portfolio options to cover customer pricing requirements/respond to competitive offers (i.e., legacy versus innovation pricing/product mix).

Quantify price harmonization risks & provide mitigation tactics (GPO’s, regions.)

Define and deploy in cooperation with OU / Overlay and strategic account leaders a consistent GPO (Buying group), Private sector, ICS’s pricing approach.

Coordinate sales/ business new offer development requirements with the wider C&P team (promotions, price increases, new pricing schemes -capitation, per procedure) to assure smooth pricing execution at the customer level.

Support the building of pricing capabilities of the local sales & marketing teams.

Monitor pricing performance, execution and take corrective action in cooperation with the business to achieve the business objectives.

Ensure through strong networks dissemination of best practices across OU and countries.
