**About the role**:

Working in our Customer and Social Value Team in Highways, you will be responsible for supporting project teams with co-ordination of the planning, delivery and reporting of social value activity across our Highways business in theSouth East as well as supporting cross-business initiatives.

**What you'll be doing**

Key Responsibilities:

- The Social Value Coordinator will support projects in the South East to achieve their social value commitments.
- Work with external community-based organisations to build partnerships to help deliver our commitments at a project and regional level.
- Assist in the delivery of the Equality Diversity & Inclusion strategy and inclusion action plan.
- Design and co-ordinate cross highways social value initiatives aligned to our Building New Futures Sustainability strategy
- Collect projects social value outcomes including evidencing local labour, local spend, employment and skills data collection, environment data collection; to help deliver project outcomes.
- Work with supply chain on projects to collect social value data and monitor performance and ensure supply chain data and evidence collected is compliant and auditable.
- Co-ordinate donations and volunteering with community-based groups
- Provide support to assist with the relevant sections of the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS).
- Work with Social Value Manager to provide support to the projects within Highways to demonstrate the positive impact of our projects during construction works.
- Work with our Customer and Communications teams to ensure social value activity is communicated
- Engage with all relevant stakeholders including supply chain and wider project teams

**Who we're looking for**:

- Previous experience of delivering social value projects and community engagement activity
- Be able to demonstrate a passion for delivering social value in the areas within which we work and motivate others to do the same
- Able to collaborate with and build relationships with a range of stakeholders both internal and externally
- Be able to proactively communicate social value activity via social media and other internal and external communications channels
- Experience of project management, data collection and management
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SharePoint
- Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure whilst remaining calm and focused
- Willingness to travel regionally and nationally as required (driving license preferable but not essential)
