We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Multi-skilled Facilities Operative to join a leading Educational organisation, where you will assist the Facilities Shift leader in providing a range of services across the estate maintaining appropriate facilities to students, staff and visitors.

As a Multi-skilled Facilities Operative, you will:

- Undertake a range of general duties including; cleaning, portering, litter-picking, waste removal and meeting room set-ups.
- Undertake specialist services such as sorting and distributing mail, franking of outgoing mail and liaison with couriers and receipts of distribution of goods e.t.c.
- Identify repair and improvement works within blocks, communal areas and offices & liaise with contractors to get the work completed.
- Undertake some specialist cleaning duties such as carpet cleaning, power hosing and high level window cleaning.
- Undertake general maintenance duties e.g. toilet seat fixing and fixing door locks e.t.c.
- Utilise technology to ensure work is received and to give updates on the work progress & completion.
- Support Security on occasions to undertake car-parking duties for events and act as a fire marshall when necessary.

To be considered for the Multi-skilled Facilities Operative role you must have:

- Basic level of literacy with an ability to understand and follow both verbal and written instruction and procedures and to communicate in Welsh or English.
- Must be sufficiently physically fit to undertake the specified duties.
- Ability to work under own initiative and as a member of a team, interacting with a variety of people at all levels
- BICSc Licence to Practice Card or a willingness to work towards achieving this within an agreed timeframe
- An understanding of the need for safe working practices with the ability to work in accordance with good health and safety and manual handling practices.
- Ability to solve problems in accordance with procedures
- An understanding of good customer care and quality service.
- To be willing to work flexibly as operationally required.
- The ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh is Desirable
- Have a Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle is desirable
- This is a contract role with an ASAP start with full-time & part-time hours available. Working Monday to Friday with weekend hours on a rota basis. The role is based in Bangor and in return you will receive an hourly pay rate of £9.50 depending on previous skills and experience plus holiday pay.Supertemps Limited is acting on behalf of our client as an employment business.
