**AB Texel UK are a large, well-established agricultural bulk transport company who are currently recruiting for a Junior Planner to join our team.**

**What shift are you going to do?**
Monday to Friday 0730 - 1700, weekends/on call as required.

**Salary**: £26k to £28k per annum

AB Texel UK Ltd transports agricultural bulk goods, mainly potatoes, to various factories across the UK and EU. Our Junior Planner plays an important part in the process of getting the products we transport to the customer, whilst also ensuring we deliver a high level of service.

We have modern equipment, and our new employees receive thorough training with us. They are intensively supported and supervised by an experienced AB colleague who can teach them all aspects of our specific trade. Our new employees only begin to work independently once they have achieved our high standards and built-up sufficient experience. As only then are these employees able to call themselves true AB specialists.

As a Junior Planner you will be responsible for assisting with planning and executing driver routes according to load, briefing and debriefing drivers as well as working on a reactive basis, resolving any issues that arise during the shift.

You will also be required to carry out the following (this list is not exhaustive):

- Assisting in the day-to-day planning of 100 vehicles
- Learning each role within the planning function and assisting in the various roles when required
- Administrative duties such as entering jobs onto the planning system, entering driver availability onto the system, finding and entering weight details from drivers, and other tasks associated with vehicle planning
- Liaising with all departments within the business
- Liaising with customers for various details such as ETA's, load details etc
- Communicating with drivers for various reasons by telephone and or the communicator app within the planning system.

Our ideal Junior Planner:
If you have a transport or customer service background, with attention to detail, strong communication skills and a proven track record of delivering a high level of customer service, you could be the person we're looking for, to join our growing team.

Ideally you would have:

- Previous experience within a transport office, with a good understanding of Transport planning.
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- IT literate
- Attention to detail
- You can work well as part of a team and/or on your own initiative.
- Strong organisational skills
- The ability to prioritise, multitask and manage your workload.
