**What you’ll be doing**
As the Environmental Data and Assurance Manager, you’ll provide guidance and leadership to a small team of technical specialists. Through your direction and understanding of our regulatory framework, you’ll assist the business in ensuring our flow & EDM datais of the highest quality to meet regulatory requirements and provide operational insight. You’ll lead a team of technical specialists whose purpose is to ensure we understand our performance through the implementation of a Quality Management System (QMS)to provide robust data. You will manage the wastewater Environmental Information Request process in close liaison with the Data Protection team to ensure that regulatory requirements are met. You may also be supporting the Environmental Permitting team withdata requests for the Environment Agency, ensuring high quality responses are submitted.
**Main Accountabilities**:
- Guiding and supporting a small team of technical specialists
- Providing operational performance insight into flow compliance
- Ensure management system procedures are established, implemented and maintained in conformance with the MCERTS standard
- Ensure EDM data is to the highest possible standard utilising new digital tools and procedures
- Attending industry working groups and conferences.
**What you should bring to the role**:
- Understand the regulatory framework surrounding flow/storm permit compliance including MCERT, reporting, storm overflow, and other flow permit requirements (essential)
- Be a credible leader with the drive and motivation to deliver, leading, and supporting the team, and promoting a culture of performance management
- Experience of working with data and graphical user interfaces
- Experienced in developing and maintaining MCERT Quality Management System or an Environment Management System (preferable)
- Knowledgeable in wastewater treatment and network processes (preferable)
- Be a member of a Chartered Institute (e.g. CIWEM, IoW) (preferable)
