RWDI is seeking a motivated individual to work as **Model Maker **for a full time permanent role within our dynamic team within the **Milton Keynes** office.

This role includes but is not limited to:

- The production of scaled models using a variety of drawing types.
- Instrumenting completed models with accuracy and quality.
- Reading and producing a variety of scale drawings for the use of scale model production.
- Working with a variety of materials using varying workshop machinery.
- The repair, maintenance & development of workshop/wind tunnel facilities and equipment.
- Assisting Wind Tunnel Operators in the preparation and testing of Projects.
- Working in a professional environment abiding by Health & Safety Policies.
- Liaising with Project Managers and Engineers to comprehensively understand the project requirements.
- Managing projects to best suit deadlines.
- Working to requirements and tolerances when producing scale models.
- Working efficiently towards both internal and external deadlines.
- Working as part of team in order to best achieve goals.
- Attending project meetings to discuss and agree scope of work.

- Relevant education in Model Making, Architecture, Joinery/Carpentry, Production Design etc.
- Experience with workshop machinery and power tools. (inc bandsaws, table saws sanders etc.)
- Good eye for detail.
- IT skills ranging from basic to experienced with CAD software.
- Ability to read and understand technical/architectural drawings.

- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to work efficiently.
- Strong professional work ethic
- Ability to work independently towards achieving goals.
- Proven experience of working to deadlines and programme.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
