Vacancy: Corporate and CRE Underwriter
Location: London

**Salary**: £40,000-£42,000pa
My client is an international bank with a long standing UK presence. We are currently looking of an experience Underwriter to join the team on a permanent basis. The role will sit within the corporate and commercial real estate business.

Role Responsibilities:

- Underwriting of Corporate & CRE Credit proposals and ensuring successful execution of the transactions being pursued along with related client & introducer relationship management.
- Manage the assessment and processing of lending proposals from the business team, and presentation of proposals to Sanctioning Committee.
- Operational responsibility for the annual review process for all existing credit portfolio loans to ensure that all borrowing requirements and covenants are being adhered to.
- Monitoring of existing loan portfolio, identifying early arrears or potential problem accounts and making necessary recommendations.
- Ensure the credit decisions are made within regulatory standards and adhere to TCF principles and Customer First standards.
- To provide support to the Head - Corporate Crediot & CRE in all operational areas of the Credit Department.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge of UK regulatory framework, principles and rules
- Knowledge of UK lending environment
- 3 - 5 years' experience in underwriting or assessing credit proposals.
