SF Recruitment have a requirement for a temporary Transport Coordinator to join an expanding manufacturing business based in Nottingham.

The Role

To support the Logistics manager with the movement of materials internally and externally ensuring customers orders are received correctly, on time and in the most cost effective way. Support the business needs and liaise with departmental managers to ensure the safe transport of products from production to storage and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the transport of goods internally and externally
- Support the Logistics Manager with planning of deliveries and goods out
- Inputting correct data onto the internal stock management system
- Forecasting for material requirements to meet customer needs
- Correct and safe storage of materials
- Ensure the materials are loaded onto transport correctly utilising correct space
- Instil a companywide culture of efficiency and quality
- Ensure excellent Health & Safety standards at all times
- Assist planning team with real time issues
- Liaise with customers regularly to ensure that expectations are being met
- Liaise with external clients and transport partners to arrange transport.

Skills and Experience:

- An experienced transport professional with manufacturing/distribution experience
- Able to demonstrate a genuine passion for delivering great service
- Comfortable in upholding Health and Safety, Compliance and Cost standards
- Experience in using Sage 200 and excel advantageous
- Solutions driven with the ability to think and work under pressure with time constraints
- Commercially orientated
- Have a flexible approach to work
- Excellent communication and planning skills

Hours
- 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.

You should be immediately available or coming to the end of your current contract to be considered.
