A successful and well-established family run business supplying educational supplies to schools is currently looking to recruit an experienced Operations Manager at their Colchester HQ. **The Role**
Working closely alongside the owners of the business, you would be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of the operation. This is a dual site role, while the majority of your time will be spent at the company's Colchester Head Office you will alsooversee the effective operation of a 3PL warehouse operation and logistic facility in Tilbury.
Responsibilities and requirements to include
- Lean management of processes and reporting at both locations
- Vehicle and driver management and compliance
- ISO management to ensure compliance for annual audit
- Health and safety monitoring across the business
- An intelligent, well organised and influential individual with significant operational experience, eager to put skills to use as part of a dynamic forward-thinking family run business. You must be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of vehicles, routing,tracking and warehouse management ideally gained within 3PL settings. Multi-site experience would be a big advantage as would a continuous improvement mindset and ability to execute to positive change.
In addition you will have
- A hands-on and strategic approach
- Ability to work with teams at a distance, drivers, warehouse colleagues etc
- Efficient and organised personality with ability to track and monitor progress with a fast-paced organisation
