Here at Hollymount we have an exciting opportunity for you. We have one position available during the day, as a senior carer to our amazing residents and you will be leading the team from 8am to 8pm.

**Pay?**

For this position rate of pay is up to **£11.50 per hour**.

For applicants under 23 and apprentices, we offer preferential rates of pay.

**Contracted Hours**

We are offering contracted hours of 30 to 48 hours, dependent on your own preference.

**The role?**

If you are new to this role and don't know the ins and outs, not to worry, let's walk through a typical day.

Once you arrive at the home, you will sign in, complete your covid checks and ensure everyone has collected their digital device for the day. Before the morning handover, you will meet with the senior team on the day and from the night and review what is to be discussed. The team on the night will let you know how everyone has been through the night, about medication and let you know if anything is scheduled for that day. After the morning handover, it is time to take the reins and lead by example.

You will direct and support a team of carers alongside managers and the senior team on duty, by helping people up from bed, to freshen up and to put on a nice outfit for the day. You will also start the morning medication round.

After helping everyone with their medication and breakfast, they may want to watch a bit of morning TV, read a magazine with a warm drink, or take part in the planned activities or events on the day. But every day is different, and we are all here to make sure everyone is cared for and to make them smile too.

Throughout the day you will be directing checks, administering medication and checking on those who require support or attending to those who request your assistance. There will be plenty of opportunity for you to take your allocated breaks, but you will also be assigning and scheduling times for everyone else’s too.

By late afternoon and in to the evening, some of our residents may wish to go to bed, have an evening bath or to get ready for bed.

Before you finish, there will be an evening handover meeting. Where you will lead by sharing information of how everyone has been through the day and sharing any other important information to relevant persons and departments.

**Experience and Qualifications?**

Experience and an NVQ L3 or higher is a bonus, but it's not a necessity. If you are a carer looking for a career promotion, then we will guide, support, and show you the ropes.

**Experience**:

- providing senior care: 1 year (preferred)
- supervisory: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
- NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (preferred)
