We have an exciting opportunity for a Health, Safety and Training Administrator to join our team.

**Job Title**:Health, Safety and Training Administrator

**Location**: Dartford, Kent

**Salary**: £12-13 per hour

**Hours**: 21 hours per week to be worked flexibly 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

You will be goal oriented and have the ability to undertake a range of activities whilst providing efficient and effective support to the smooth operations of our company on a day-to-day basis. This role will see you work alongside the HR Assistant, whocurrently carries out these tasks and who will provide initial handover and ongoing support to you.

**Typical Tasks**:
Training:

- Arrange all necessary training for all new employees (BCARM, ECS) etc.
- Ensuring all training events are created and updated within HR Data Management platform (People First).
- Inviting all attendees and ensuring that training is completed in a timely manner.
- Making all bookings for external training as required.
- Creating invoices for payment.
- Keeping a record of all external training.
- Ensuring all employees update their training records accordingly and in a timely manner.
- Assist the HR Assistant with training costs agreements where appropriate.
- Support HR with ensuring the effectiveness and administration of Performance Evaluations within People First and prompting Managers where required.

Health & Safety:

- Act as first point of contact for First Aiders and Fire Wardens to discuss any issues and/or training requirements.
- Assist the Company to ensure that legal and corporate safety, health, and environmental requirements are implemented, and the Managing Director can report to the Board to have a high-level assurance on compliance.
- Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated, and communicated in partnership with Head of operational managers.
- Assist in developing, reviewing, checking, monitoring the implementation of risk assessments, safe systems of work, procedures, and processes, highlighting areas for potential improvement, monitoring, tracking, and closing out actions, complementing standardsrequired.
- Ensure that all accidents and incidents are documented, recorded, investigated, and recommended improvements are implemented.

General:

- Assist line managers to make improvement and implement required changes
- Assist the Managing Director, liaising with external agencies, quality, formal accreditations and memberships (Safe Contractor, ADSA) in relation to health & safety matters.
- Reporting (data and content as agreed) on a monthly basis or as otherwise required.
- Ensure compliance to applicable codes, legislation, and procedures including health and safety
- Maintain accurate records/documentation associated with your work
- Immediately report problems/failures that may impact on the organisation and/or its clients/customers to Line Manager
- Other ad hoc tasks as defined by your line manager
- You are required to carry out your duties in accordance with the company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures and adhere to all externally relevant Health & Safety laws.

**We are looking for someone with he below characteristics**:
Essential:

- Experience as a H&S, Training/HR and or Quality Administrator
- Grade A-C in English Language/Literature
- Excellent customer service & communication skills
- Intermediate-Advanced IT skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- An eye for detail and accuracy
- Ability to work to deadlines
- A team player with high level of dedication

Desirable:

- A formal H&S qualification such as IOSH Managing Safely.
