We have an exciting new role available to join **Rough Trade** as a **Back-of-House Supervisor** in our **East London** Store.The role is for **37.5** hours per week and is full-time.

As the Back-of-House Supervisor, you will oversee and manage all aspects of inventory operations, including goods receiving, stock organisation, and goods dispatching. You will work closely with a back of house team and the wider store team to ensure that inventory processes align with Rough Trade's standards of efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

You will report to the **General Manager.**

**Responsibilities**:

- ** Goods Receiving and Inspection**: Receive incoming stock, and compare it to purchase orders and invoices. Ensure accuracy in quantities, qualities, and conditions of received goods. Address discrepancies promptly and coordinate with suppliers to resolve known issues. This includes a degree of manual handling of boxes and crates.
- **Stock Control**: Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software.
- **Stock Auditing**: Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and system records. Implement corrective measures to prevent future discrepancies.
- **Goods Dispatching**: Coordinate the timely and accurate dispatch of orders, ensuring items are picked, packed, and shipped in accordance with Rough Trade's quality standards.
- **Team Management**: Lead and supervise members of the store team offering guidance, training, and support. Foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork and accountability.
- **Process Improvement**: Identify opportunities for process optimisation and efficiency enhancement within inventory management. Propose and implement solutions to streamline operations, reduce errors, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- **Communication**: Maintain clear and open communication channels across all elements of the store team.
- **Health and Safety**: Ensure that inventory management practices adhere to health and safety guidelines, minimising risks to employees, and customers.
- **Customer Service**:You will be required to deal with customer enquiries by telephone and in person.

**Requirements**:

- Experience in inventory management, with a proven track record of supervisory responsibilities and using cloud-based inventory management systems.
- Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written, as well as great interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to implement solutions.
- Knowledge of retail operations, logistics, and supply chain processes.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Retail experience is very much desired in this role.
