Robertson Bell are delighted to be working with this purpose driven charity whilst they recruit for a permanent Director of Finance role. Reporting into the Chief Executive, this Director of Finance will manage four direct reports with overall responsibilityfor seven team members. This is a brilliant time to join this inspiring charity whilst they embark on a journey of growth and begin a new strategy. Duties for this role will include:

- Act as a dynamic and confident leader to the finance team.
- Oversee all elements of risk, governance and legal including management of the risk register.
- Present to the board of trustees and various committees, ensuring alignment to the charity’s strategy is always maintained.
- Manage the development of financial plans and budgets working hand in hand with the CEO.
- Oversee all regulatory compliance, data protection, and ensure reporting deadlines are met.
- Maintain tight financial controls and improve systems and processes ensuring staff have access to necessary training and support.
- Assist the Senior Leadership Team with business decisions and business planning.
- Facilitate the growth of the organisation by building a strong finance team.

This is the perfect opportunity for a proven finance leader who is seeking a new and varied hands on role in a growing organisation. This Director of Finance will be based officially out of the charity’s head office in Leicester and will offer flexible workingoptions. The role will join a professional and purpose driven team and will have the opportunity to really make this role their own.
- Be a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA)
- Have previous experience leading a finance team and reporting into a Chief Executive.
- Be an experienced people manager.
- Have the capacity to finalise both the management and financial accounts.
- Be a highly capable communicator.
