**Conference & Banqueting Porter**:THE ROLE:
We are looking for an Event Porter to join our Conference and Banqueting department at The Grand Hotel Birmingham.
This is a great role for someone who likes to be organised and plan ahead. You’ll enjoy working on your own as well as in a team as you help the team to set up and breakdown our conference and event spaces. This role is really important to us as we want the Hotel to look amazing as our guests walk around.
This role if 5 out of 7 days including weekends.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
1. Set up meeting and events spaces with a function sheet to help instruct you
2. Breakdown meeting and events spaces after an event, cleaning and putting things away in an organised and efficient way
3. Work with the team on some events where needed which will give you the experience of event service too
4. Work with the team leaders and supervisors to plan the set up and help use our space in the most effective way
5. Enjoy your work and enjoy making our Hotel look neat, tidy and perfect for our guests
