**JOB TITLE: Senior Production Manager
JOB TYPE: Permanent full time**

**PLACE OF WORK: Hoddesdon**

**SALARY: Negotiable Dependant on experience**

**HOURS OF WORK** 7.30am to 4.45pm Monday to Thursday
and Friday 7.30am to 2pm (some flexibility will be required)

**Overview:
**Being theHead of production you will have Overall responsibility Production and preparing team y for the whole assembly and production line with a strong focus on People developmentto maximise production output and efficiency

**Factory Productivity**:

- Maximise Production output through motivation of the work force.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity and implement changes.
- Drive production efficiency to maximise margin/output.
- Implement robust ‘Lean Manufacturing’ processes to improve efficiency/productivity
- Continually assess opportunities to improve productivity through investment in machinery/methods.

**Quality**:

- Ensure there are appropriate Quality Systems, Processes and People in place to maximise Product Quality.
- Identify and implement new Production/manufacturing processes, where necessary, to improve Quality.

**People/Team**:

- Work closely with Head of Supply and Planning to ensure the factory is planned effectively.
- Manage the Production team to ensure they are motivated, fully engaged and working efficiently.
- Train and support the Production floor managers so they can perform their jobs effectively.
- Continually assess production skills and make changes/train individuals to ensure the factory is flexible and able to adapt to changes.

**Communication;**
- Communicate to the production team progress against plan so they are always fully aware of targets and progress.
- Publish a weekly dashboard to keep the Senior Leadership team aware of Production Progress in Output, Efficiency and Quality

**Leadership**:

- Motivate the Production team by being a role model with behaviours and communications reflecting the company Values.
- Nurture team-working and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with the other ‘Heads Of’ to promote a strong and cohesive leadership team.

**Successful applicant should have:
- Worked in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience of running an assembly line
- Previous experience of leading a team
- Work study knowledge of manufacturing principles
- Able to contribute to improvements in efficiency and productivity
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work to tight deadlines
- Strong computer literacy
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
