Job Title: Key Worker (Temporary Accommodation Services)

Location: E C Roberts Centre, Fratton, Portsmouth

Working Hours: Part time, 7.5 hours alternate Saturdays (15 hours per month).

Job Overview:
Key Responsibilities:

- To prepare areas ready for contact sessions, with due consideration for security and safety, ensuring that contacts have the appropriate staffing.
- Be the lead worker for areas of the Contact Centre’s work, as assigned by the Manager responsible for Contact Services. Take responsibility for ensuring that all work in that area of responsibility is properly planned and delivered in accordance with funders’ requirements and Roberts Centre policies.
- Manage own workload and ensure that the maximum number of Contact sessions are undertake each week.
- Work in the Supported and Supervised Contact service as required.
- Undertake any work related to contact activities e.g. Contact Volunteer induction and support etc.
- Be responsible for the Health and Safety of all staff and families using the service.
- Carry out Contact Centre’s administrative procedures as required, particularly in relation to bookings, risk assessments, referrals, reports and providing up to date accurate records and handover sheets, adhering to the policies in respect of confidentiality and access to information.
- Have experience of working with vulnerable families/people and/or children in need.
- Have an awareness of issues affecting separated families.
- Have experience of working with young people.
- Be able to make decisions in a professional manner.
- Be an understanding and compassionate individual.
- Have an ability to work with children and parents who are under stress.
