Technical Buyer required for a leading technology manufacturer who boast a fantastic reputation within their sector, a brand truly associated with quality. They offer training and development and progression opportunities for the successful applicant

The role would suit experienced buyers from a manufacturing or engineering background. Applicants will have proven experience managing suppliers, setting up long term contracts and ensuring best price and best service terms from all suppliers. You must beprepared to work within a busy, fast paced procurement team. CIPS certifications will be advantageous, although relevant transferable industry experience is of the highest priority.

Working as part of a large overall procurement team this role focuses entirely on the strategic planning and growth of the business by supporting the supply chain by managing relationships with all suppliers in the UK and overseas. You will ensure the businesshas long term contracts with all key suppliers and a best price, best service approach to all supplier accounts in terms of gaining the optimum outcome in terms of profitability and deliverables across the board.

The Role:

- Manage all supplier relationships into the business
- Ensure a best price and best service in terms of quality and delivery is achieved across all key suppliers.
- Work closely with NPI and R&D teams to ensure all clear shared knowledge of the overall business needs for all materials and services into the business.

The Person:

- Must be an experienced Technical Buyer/procurement professional
- Must be from an engineering or manufacturing background
- Will have experience negotiating supplier contracts and terms on a long-term basis
- Will ideally hold CIPS or equivalent certifications
