**Requirements**: **_ Essential -_** - Relevant experience of delivering in an engineering-based Procurement environment. - Project Procurement delivery experience. - Purchase Order management / placement process experience. - Invitation to Tender knowledge. - Contract Management in terms of; Contract Drafting & Formatting, ITT, Negotiation, Assessment & Evaluation, Selection & Award. - Understanding of ICE Form of Subcontract (Design & build). - Knowledge of Supplier Relationship Management techniques. - IT Skills - good working knowledge of MS Office. - Right to work in the UK without restriction. - Professional Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (C.I.P.S.). **_ Desirable -_** - Contract Terms & Conditions management. - UK Rail industry knowledge and experience. **Responsibilities**: Atkins Transportation works on a number of large, complicated projects at any given time and the Procurement Officer will be required to provide a Procurement service to those projects, the role will be UK wide, and multiple UK wide projects will be required to be managed at times as identified by the Head of Supply Chain. - Develop Supply Chain Strategies with the project teams. - Ensure Contracts and Purchase Orders are placed on time and in accordance with best practice. - Manage Requisition to Purchase Order Process. - Develop excellent Key Supplier Relationships. - Report on Supplier Performance. - Manage and report on budgets. - Provide mentorship to junior members of the Supply Chain Team. - Any other duties commensurate with Procurement activities. **The Individual**: - Excellent communication - Self starter - Team member - Good verbal and written skills **Additional Information**: - The successful applicant will be required to travel to and work in other locations throughout the UK, with overnight stays where applicable. - Full Driving Licence required. **Why work for Atkins?** Our Transportation teams are reinventing transport for a challenging yet exciting future.
