Instructional Designer

We have a great opportunity for 3 Instructional Designers to join our Learning & Development Team Our Instructional designers write learning material that's used by colleagues across the organisation to develop their skills and capabilities. It includes everything from content for new starters to development programmes for established leaders.

**Accountabilities**:

- Develop written content, it could be e-learning, scripts for videos or traditional slides and trainer notes, for an audience of mainly L8 to L6 colleagues.
- Work with SME's and requestors to create learning that's accurate, meets our legislative and regulatory requirements and also meets the needs of the requestor and the learners who will complete it
- Managing a portfolio of content (at different stages of creation) ensuring everything is version controlled and reviewed regularly in line with design guidelines.
- Responsible for managing own projects - maintaining the right project documentation and using the correct templates and processes as set out in our standards
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders and with external providers where applicable. Representing the team in meetings with stakeholders when required
- Support the wider team by providing feedback and final proof reading for content produced in the wider team

- Experience of working as part of a team and the ability to work largely self-managed with guidance and direction

**Work experience**
- Experience in developing instructional design content across a variety of channels
- Experience of working within learning and development and an understanding of the processes and methodologies used within an L&D function in order to support the overall design and development of innovative and effective learning solutions
- Ability to work as part of a remote and virtual team
- Previous experience in contributing to L&D solutions for a blue-chip organisation preferred
- Ideally experience in writing learning content appropriate for a legislative or regulatory environment, for example health and safety content, or content that supports FCA/Ofgem requirements or in writing content aimed at a management or leadership audience

**Education and qualifications**
- Educated to ‘A’ level standard or equivalent
- CIPD, LPD or TAP qualification preferred
- Ideally additional qualifications in management development or H&S (examples include Level A/B in Psychometric Testing, IOSH general certificate etc)
